Val presenting their campaign to confront implicit bias on college campuses, at NADOHE.

My company, The Only Black Girl in the Room LLC offers strategies to address systemic oppression. Through workshops offered to the public or trainings curated for private companies, schools, nonprofit organizations and other institutions, I hope to educate and transform how we engage with people who are different from ourselves. Applying a racial justice lens, we have the opportunity to remove systemic oppression from our society. Of course sexism, ableism, homophobia, classism, Indigenous genocide, reproductive justice, and transphobia are all subjects that are discussed at these trainings, because dismantling systemic racism intersects with these issues.

I am currently accepting new clients.

I offer, one-time trainings along with long term contracts.

Rates:

$2000 for a two hour training*

$300 for every additional hour

$1000 speaking fee for one hour*

$500 to receive a recording of previous trainings that organizations can then share with their employees for 30 days

$5,000-$60,000 for long term contracts with organizations

*In an effort to keep everyone safe during this time, all trainings and speaking engagements are offered through Zoom.
