Marsha P. (Pay It No Mind) Johnson was a revolutionary, a sex worker, an activist of color, she co-founded the LGBTQ rights movement and the Street Tranvestite Action Revolutionaries (STAR). Often homeless herself she always offered help and support to queer and trans homeless teens and adults. She was also part of ACT UP! The movement dedicated to bringing awareness and resources for HIV.
